Nick was appointed in June 2024 to manage and deliver MHR iTrent HR and Payroll System across Lord Wandsworth College and St Neots Prep Schools in Hampshire. The two schools had payroll systems from different suppliers and no interfaces to any other systems. The HR data was held in various places, largely in documents, necessitating a large degree of manual work from the team to keep it all updated.
Working with the HR and Payroll teams from both schools, Nick helped the teams identify the optimum way for the new system to operate and contribute to LWC and St Neots' success long into the future. Nick's project experience ensured that the work undertaken at each stage was delivered effectively.
The project involved merging multiple data sources to create a homogenous and accurate data set for loading into the new system. This data is critical and had to be accurate to ensure the payroll balances. Nick used his experience of 'Extract, Transform and Load' (ETL) at Loughborough Schools Foundation to achieve these goals and assisted the team with configuration, implementation and knowledge transfer.
The system successfully went live on both Payrolls in February 2025. After the successful conclusion of the project, Nick has been retained to deliver a second phase of additional modules, including Recruitment, Timesheets, Expenses, and Datamart Reporting with Power BI, including working on the delivery of an integrated SCR Solution.
